interview with an apostle

Just had one of those "Apostle Paul" moments:

P: I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by observing the law, or by believing what you heard?

S: Hmmm. by believing what I heard...?

P: Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by human effort?

S: err... dunno.

P: Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because “the righteous will live by faith.”

S: right...

P: Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us!

S: [...]

P: So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

S: so, this means I am already accepted?

P: If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

S: Wow. thanks Paul. and thank you Jesus! :-)
