Sakura

The sakura season has started in Japan (cherry blossoms season). Soon enough petals will be blown off by the wind and form the famous "pink wave"which will cover Japanese skies and spread all across the country.

I hope I'll get to see it of my very own eyes one day... In the meantime, I have been enjoying these few shots borrowed from the Internets. I thought I'd share them with you.

Isn't God's creation amazingly beautiful?

The flowers blossom for just a few days before they scatter, and are rich in symbolism. To many Japanese their fleeting presence each spring is a reminder of the fragility and transient nature of life and its natural cycles; this year's cherry blossoms will be particularly poignant in the wake of the Tohoku earthquake... It will be interesting to see how they are celebrated...

Please continue to pray for Japan. May people see something of God in the beauty of his Creation, and seek refuge in him.
